Enjoying and working hard
For me as a coach-consultant, working with teams always means two things: enjoying and working hard. Enjoying the team dynamics, working together to further improve collaboration, often with a fun element, and supporting the larger steps that people take together. I also experience it as hard work, both for myself and often for the team or the team members. Because I love to support teams and individuals who also want to make a big and structural step towards happiness and success. I have been doing this with great pleasure since 2004, after a career within the ING Group.
What I have found is that it is a significant challenge, and perhaps too great a challenge, to quickly identify which areas a team wants to make (rapid) progress on and what the best approach is for that. Of course, I have a 'wealth of experience' like many of my fellow coaches, but still... And to be honest, I also have my own preferences for methods and topics to work on, but have these always been the right ones? Naturally, my professional approach, ability to connect, and transparent style help. But an analysis of the overall picture of components in team dynamics and development, along with suitable interventions, offers even more of what I already enjoy doing and want to do. That’s why I am enthusiastic about the TeamUP method. The approach is so comprehensive that the teams and I can enjoy the process even more, and we can effectively address the right, chosen, and supported aspects with the right approach. Working hard knowing that you are truly doing the right thing... wonderful, isn't it?!
